    importing basic site with topo

    Hi all,
I have been trying to import a project from someone else, that includes topo, property line, google site image and some basic existing buildings.
I do not want to inherit their views, sheets, families etc. In other words, I want to retain my template. (except of course where their componetry like walls are different).
A cut'n'paste only gets me the jpg.
All I want is the model as such.
Is there a way to do this?
The answer is probably very easy, but my brain refuses to behave today

Just link in their model to yours....

I prefer to keep my site model separate from my main model anyway...

Thanks MP, out of interest sake after it is linked can I 'cut' the ties to the link and keep what was once linked?

Sure...as long as you bind it first...which brings the model in as a group...
