I searched the network and my c drive for this sp,....i could not find it. Where is it,..i want to delete it.
    Anyone have a clue?

    Thanks,

That looks like a line out of your Shared Parameter file.
Where did you get that text from?
And what do you want to delete it from?

      parameter properties.JPG

See the attached image,..I have created SP with a combined client name including 3 lines, however, 'Client Name Line 3' I mistakenly included it in the 'Length' catagory under 'Type of Parameter' rather than 'Text'. If there was a way to edit this it would be a non-issue,...there has got to be a way to correct errors like this,...to me this is a no-brainer.
FyI,...I copied the heading from this post from the .txt file.

Have you used that parameter in any projects yet? Or, are you just now setting up the SP file?

If it's the latter, just delete it and redo it. That's the only way to change it that I know of.

So, you don't really want to delete it. You want to change it.

From the Manage Tab on the Ribbon, pick Shared Parameters.
Make sure you're editing the correct file (top line) (and, BTW, you really don't want more than one file in the office)
Pick the Parameter Group it's currently in
            Pick the parameter
Move Move to move it into the correct Group.

OK, screw all that. Now that I look at your question more closely, yes, you DO want to delete it. You can change the Group a parameter is in, but you can't change the Type. Once you've made it "Length", it's Length, and never anything else.

Wise Dan is correct. Delete it and make it again.
Since it's Length, I'm guessing you were never able to use it, so it won't hurt to delete it.

There is know way to just delete it from the Catagory parameter list in the Edit Label dialogue box,..as far as I know anyway. I did find out how to change the 'Length' Parameter to 'Text' by accident, but it works.

Ok, then. Thanks for asking for help and then not sharing the answer. Glad I could help.

                    My thoughts exactly.

Not wise, just lucky every once in a while.
