    3d pdf

    Hello,

Does anyone know how to create 3D pdf out of revit?
Currently we are using following workflow.

    - Export 3D DWG from Revit
    - Open 3D DWG in microstation and convert 3D pdf.

The reason for this workflow is that microstation generates 3D pdf with all layers so it is very convenient for reciepients to navigate through our file.

Do we have something similar for Revit or AutoCAD?

    Thanks in anticipaiton.

    Regards

    DWF isn't the same thing?
Revit Architecture - 3ds MAX Design - Octane Render - and many working hours...

Thanks JTB for your quick reponse.
Client wants 3D PDF otherwise I would prefer DWF or NWC/NWD.

      Thanks

Revit doesnt work natively with 3D PDF's currently. If they are adament about it instead of DWF, looks like your current workflow is what they get.

works fine here in RAC 2012 Win7 64bit ?? A bit of a slow printing process but I get a nice 3D pdf file via Bentley iModel to Bentley View V8i with print to pdf

works for me too. See attached. Few problems though:

I can't get the textures to transfer.
I can't seem to incorporate multiple views in one pdf.
But this was just the first trial run
