    Drawing a polygon with revit API

    Hi,
    I am looking for the best way to draw the black polygon (Model lines) (see the Attachment file) by using the Geometry from blue polygon. I tried to do that by getting the blue polygon corners and adding the offset (2 m) to them (see Attachment file) with taking the different angels into the account but that was so complex. I hope that it is possible to do that in another simpler way. Until now I can do that only for rechtangels.

      Select the offset command, enter the desired offset, check "Copy", click somewhere in the drawing window (not on the lines though) to make that active, hoover above one of the lines, hit tab to select all lines, and click. Then add dims and lock. Takes about 20sec... I'm not following why that is too complex?

        Hi mdradvies,
        I want to that with an external command (by using Revit API). The user have to input only the desired offset.

          ah, ok... Not quite sure why, but I'm guessing this is one of those situations where the OP doesn't disclose the full intent...
          I think that cannot be done. I could imagine offset being possible. But adding dims and locking them? I don't think so...
