    Copying and grouping an Array

hi, i really need some help on copying an array. I'm working on a radially arranged theatre seating arrangement. I've made the seating using the array command only problem is when i copy the seating to paste on the other sides it loses the array property and just becomes individual blocks meaning i cant adjust them. i've tried grouping then copying but after ungrouping they lose the array property as well. So i would like to know how i can copy a set of arrayed objects and still have an adjustable array. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

hello, and welcome. Try to make the array a family.

You can't copy an array and keep it arrayed. Basically what you do when copying stuff is creating a new instance. The "formula" which makes up the array isn't copied with it...
Just curious: did you use the Revit copy command? Or Copy to Clipboard. You might want to try them both...

When you copy the array make sure to include (ctrl+click) the "array contro11er" (thats what I'm naming the line that changes the number of instances).

If you used copy into another level it will work perfectly as mdradvies said i just tested that.
If you want to have it in the same level then make a new family nest the chair into the new family and click array-- click then on the number and parametrize it under integer category you can use also refrence line beside this to control the angle of the radial arrayed family.
You Can make then a such types with different properties (In other word such instances)
then load it into project and enjoy with switching between how the radial angle and quantity.
