    Delete Non editable workset??

    Hi all,

i was tweaking our title block earlier today and have modifyed the scale bar a little bit. No problems.
When i reloaded it inot the project the attached dialogue box appears.
"This action has caused deletion of non-editable Workset"Family:Generic Annotations:scale Bar 1"
Ok, no problem, this is the elemnent I have emoved from the titlteblock and replaced with a new one. cool.

So i hit "make Elements editable......nope, won't do it. The dialogue box re-appears with only the cancel button available......which cancels the entire reload.

Any ideas why this is happening?? I really dont want to remove the entire titleblock and re-insert.

    Drew,

If you go to your workset manager dialog, and check all the boxes at the bottom (so you can see all worksets, I think this one is user families), see if you can make that workset editable int he list before loading the titleblock back in.

It sounds like the scale bar is a shared family and that it's trying to remove the family from your project since it's no longer int he titleblock. Does that sound correct?

Its not. Its a file corruption issue. You need to enable a debug mode (which is officially unsupported) that is called "Allowdeletionofnonemptyworksets" and then you need to restart revit, and it will let you delete it.

This is something that creeps in to projects now and again, unfortunately.

I dont remember the exact syntax you need to type in the debig file, but ive posted the file here before, so you should be able to search for it...
