    Conc Stairs wont join SOB

    Hello all

    Title should read "Conc Stairs wont join SOG (Slab on Grade)

    I have created a small set of conc. stairs using OOTB method. I have checked all possible spots for the material and the stairs and sog are the same material but i still cannot join the two objects. I stairs will be poured with the slab.

    Is there someplace I am not looking or do I need to create a family for this.

    I have checked the materials for both objects thru the properties and the type properties.

    Or is it because revit treats these two elements completely separate.

    I think I am finally getting the hang of this revit stuff.

    Sorry, you can't join stairs with a slab... If you do a quick search on the forum you'll find a couple of thread about that.

    If you want to hide the line of the joint, you can use the linework tool.

      I figured as much after I posted my question. so i created a family just for that area to show the rebar required.
