    Hi all,

    do you know anybody, how insert in to text special characters? For example "index" (m2, m3...) or used formated part of the Word Document?
    In the Revit Extension 2012 is function "Text Generator", but is not ideal for this.

    The text editor in Revit is.... well. Look here I know hard returns and spaces will wotk 50% of the time, the other 50% you are out of luck.

    Inserting special characters you mean like ® ¢ ³ ± § ¥ those are avaliable via the character map in windows. Link here

      Thank you Alex,

      from he links can be seen that the Revit text editor is still in its "infancy"...
      The character map in Windows I know and I´m often using it. Just for now I´m ashamed that I first tried it.
      This using satisfies me yet.

        m2 symbol = Cntrl+2, m3-symbol = Cntrl+3.
        The other ones I use the character map for but by far aren't that common for me.

          Hello Martijn,

          do you mean the keys "CTRL+2" (or 3)? When writting text in my Czech Revit - it only switch text from normal to bold (and kombination CTRL+3 does nothing).
          Can you explain it, please, more detail?

            I mean pushing left control button and simultaniously pressing number 2 or 3 in the main keyboard section.

              Never heard about this CTRL2 trick before - unfortunately I cant make it work either

                Have you tried alt codes? When combining Alt + [different combinations of numbers] you can get several type of symbols.
                In Czech it appears to be Alt + 177 and Alt + 178... Didn't try yet.

                    Hi all,

                    yes, codes via "alt" I know . Left Alt + 178 = index 2, 179 = index 3.
                    I think, that CTRL+2 does not work for me because we have probably a different countries. Similarly - usually key right "Alt gr" + "V" = @, but on some keyboards drivers it also does not work...
