    Scaling between projects

I've probably been looking right the answer to this and just don't know, but I'm new to this program so please be gentle.

I have a family- just plain furniture- that someone else made for me that I've loaded into a project, but the scaling of it all is very messed up. [The entertainment center ending up fourteen feet tall, the sofa ending up two feet tall...] Please tell me there is a way to fix this and make everything even? Without these families being the correct size, the entire project is thrown off.

Within the project [I'll use the sofa for this question, but the problem is actually multiple families placed into the project]
      Screencap of family itself
Noting also that the scales are different, but even when I change this within the family, the measurements don't change.

If you need anything else, let me know. I can even link to where I got the sofa family above.

Just had a quick look at your posted lounge family and it is very poorly made. The Height, Width and Depth parameters are not referenced to anything in the model, so yes when you change these parameters in the properties nothing will change.
The lounge family seems to be about the correct size though.
As you haven't posted the entertainment unit family I can't comment on that, and I would have to assume that it is made the incorrect size.
