    Section Perspective

    Is there a way to make a sectional perspective view without distorting the vertical surfaces?

    I've tried to create a camera and then enable a section box in the camera view, but the view is so large that I cannot grab all corners of the box (ie the left and side of the below view)

    There are a couple of ways.
    When you place a camers, on the top left (just under the main menu bar) there is a check box called Perspectrive. Un check this. This will give you an initial elevation type view in the camera. you can then use you camera navigation tools to adjust the view.

    the other way is to plce a section looking in the irection you want. go to a 3d view and use the orient to view tool. select the section and the sd view will align tot he section you select.

      go to a plan view - select your camera view - right-click and show section box - drag handles as necessary

        yet another way: in the sectional perspective you have already created but can't grab the edges of the section box, click on a corner of the view cube. This will move the perspective into a non-perspective isometric view. Adjust the crop region as need. Then activate the Steering Wheel (F8) with full controls, and click and hold on the rewind button. Slide your mouse pointer back across the filmstrip that appears until the perspective frame is highlighted and then let go. This will return the view to the perspective view with the crop region as you adjusted it.
