    Elevation display

I have a nested component that looks like linework is missing in a elevation view. I use symbolic linework in a plan view only, so what you see is geometry. The workflow I used:

    1. Create a soild extrusion in plan with filleted corners.
    2. Create a void sweep by picking 3D edges (lines and arcs) of the top plane of the extrusion for the path and creating a profile.

Could the void sweep cause the visual anomaly?

I think it happens because the shape of the void sweep has some very sharp corners with no thickness, which might be hard to display correctly. Maybe another shape (as shown), solid instead of void, might correct the issue.

There was a similar thread some time ago, that might be useful:

Thanks Alf, I took your advice and it looks good in elevation now. The filesize increased a tad more than I would like due to the additional sweep, but this was a good solution. Basically, I first used a square shaped void sweep and then added a solid sweep with your suggested shape and joined the 2 solid geometry.
