[All Verticals] - expand CSV lookup to all flavors and to projects

    Applies to: - All Verticals

    New Feature / Problem:
the MEP family editor offers the possibility of referring to an external csv file to look up a certain value. A formula names the file, column and row and returns the value in that filed or a default -field not found- value.
I found that it also has a drawback: the link to the csv file is tenous at best, the path being defined in the revit.ini.

Why do you need this Feature / Why is it a Problem:
This could come in extremely handy when checking design against building codes. The codes in my country are often written in the form of lookup tables. When combined not just with families but also with room and space schedules it would offer users a very powerful design tool.
And about the link: Revit currently has several ways to establish links with external files of various formats. Autodesk, make up your minds already. The path-in-.ini-way is definitely not my personal favourite. How about defining an absolute or relative path like we do for CAD and Revit links? For use in families, I suppose access to the file would then require a sort of parameter.

    Workflow:
Not so sure about this one just yet. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Benefits:
Eliminate the need for manual lookup, visualize building code violations with filters or conditional formatting.
