    Revit Server problems with large files

    We have setup server between offices and it works great for small files, but when I am trying to save large files I get the error "The Revit server you are trying to access is not
    available due to a server or network failure. If you
    have models from the Revit server open, save any
    changes locally and contact your administrator.

    Also if we try to lock the folder it says cannot lock folders.
    not sure what the couse of this is.

    We have several large models on RS. The largest that we put up for tsting was 650MB. The error that you mention we see intermittently but don't see that large models cannot be used with RS.
    We have experienced problems with folder locking. First try the command line lock utility that you can run directly on the Revit Central Server to see if you can clear the locks or repair the Lock database. If that doesnt work you may have to replace the super.lock file with an older version from a backup and/or delete lines in the file that relate to files that no longer exist.

      Intermittent for us also. Hasn't been back since we moved the project to RS. Could this be related to data replication?

      In some cases we've deleted the super.lock file completely. It just gets recreated anyway.
