    Structure generator requires mesh elements.

Has anyone tried out the Sturcture Generator from Autodesk Labs?

Autodesk Labs Utilities Structure Generator for Revit

It converts mesh elements into structural elements. However, as I recall, Revit cannot create mesh objects.I'm probably doing something wrong.

Hi Andrew, I tried it, it works great.

to create a mesh, you have to divide the surface, rectangular. then use SG.

    some help is provided here.

I only divided the surface, but didn't apply a rectangular pattern, which explains why it didn't create the structural members.

      Thanks

Well I have been attempting to use this tool, and I am following the right process of dividing the surface then applying the pattern, however I still get "No mesh elements found". I am doing an in place mass does it not work with in places masses?
