    In-Place wall, all to join

    Hello, I have modeled a custom wall using the in-place component. I made sure to choose "wall" as the category.
    But once the wall model is complete and I am back in the project environment, this custom wall does not seem to join with its neighbors?

    so do custom, in-place modeled wall, even join with system default system walls?
    If so, can someone help explain how that might be achieved?

    By using an in-place method you have actually made a component and I doubt very much if there is any way to get it to join properly with walls. What is the reason for using an in-place wall? I've never used one, not to say I wouldn't but I can't think of a reason to.

      You can use Join Geometry tool to join In-place wall to neighboring walls. In-walls will not "auto join" to system walls.

        PMpfaudler, thank you very much. Your suggestion actually worked for me.

        PMrenogreen, I am using an in-place wall to model an irregular wall shape.
        This irregulate wall shape could be modeled by combining several walls. however, I want to use only one wall, but cause this is for presentation purposes only.

          Instead of an in-place wall, you should consider creating a mass, and use the Wall By Face tool, which will allow you to create a System Wall with the irregular shape.

            i know mass is organic and useful for organic shapes but assign wall to mass will end up with two lines offset to each other what if i have wall that their lines in floor plan is not offset to each other like in the image
