    Mullions

I've been struggling to make custom mullions for curtain walls (they don't seem to load into my mullion icon, but into the project)

Have you got a good tip or idea? please share

I think you forgot step 2:
Mullions are essentially profiles, just like a wall sweep, gutter, etc. You have two take two steps to actually use them:
    1. Create and load into project.
    2. Select the element on which you want to apply them (in this case a CW). Go to type properties and assign the profile there to the family.

The thing is, I'm creating a Profile Mullion then Loading it into the Project. I want to select Mullion in the Modelling Design Bar, but it then says I have to load a Mullion. How do I make this Mullion?
To be used on curtain walls.

I think you have to select an existing mullion and then duplicate that and change the profile to the one you loaded.
Make sure that the mullion is not pinned, or else you won't be able to duplicate it to create your new mullion
          Hope this helps.

I load the Imperial curtain wall profile that's in the Revit Library, but then it does this:

                Oh i see,

You probably purged the family at some point.
Just open a new project> draw a curtain wall with mullions, copy and paste it into your project and it should fix this

Could you post an example project? I find it difficult to recreate this...
