    New Music

Not meant to be a "what are you listening to now" thread, but anyone have any new music you'd like us to check out? I like pretty much all kinds, just depends on my mood.

I just started listening to Middle Class Rut's new album. They are still relatively unknown, even though it's their third album. Just two guys, drummer and guitarist, both sing. The main singer sounds like Perry Ferrell from Jane's Addiction.

Genre: hard to say. Sort of a mix between punk and grunge I suppose. They are the opening act for 30 Seconds to Mars who's on tour now (just came to Dallas this weekend and I missed it ), who also has a new album out that is amazing.

Anyway, check out Middle Class Rut if you like the harder stuff. The two I particularly like are New Low and Busy Bein' Born. Good songs.

MC Rut is from Roseville, CA... just 20 min from where I work.

I like techno and electronic music but I also have a very eclectic taste in music. I have from Andrea Bocelli to RATM, Bach to Nelly...

Destroyer's "Kaputt" was released Tuesday, and it's fabulous. Destroyer is Dan Behar from The New Pornographers, he's got a knack for indie pop melody that really floats my boat.

Hmm. The Heavy. And Hillstomp. And The Builders and the Butchers. And looking forward to hearing the new Richard Thompson. Recorded in part here in Portland last year, so extra cool.

Not a big music fan, but right now Danish "Fallulah - Out Of It" is the big hit for me

(Normally I much preffer the oldies like The Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, John Lennon, etc.)
