Standard Notes - Transferring Between Revit Projects

I have a set of standard notes that I use on my projects.

Whats the quickest and best way of transferring them between different projects I have on Revit?

    Thanks

How are the notes done in Revit?

    Drafting Views? Legends? Families?

      Apologies, poor OP.

      They are via Legends.

In Legends the only way to copy notes is to open both projects (the source, and the destination) and CRTL+C the CRTL+V the text blocks from one project to the other. There are some limiatations to what you can copy clip out of Revit though.

        Other options are:

Drafting views setup to be copied then moved into Legends. I use this for material legends and what not.
        or
Families with the text blocks in them. This seems to be by fav option.

Thanks for the reply. The family option does sound the best option really.

Ive attached one of the families I use. Notice that there is a filled region surrounding the note block. This allows for snaping to other elements for placement. Another RFO member helped me with that one.

To add to this....if you have graphics in your legends/notes as well...make sure the receiving legend is set to the same scale as where you are copying from...

The whole Legends not being able to be transferred came up at one of the unconferences at AU...not sure if it was Revit Futures or not...

Oh, speaking of that...be on the lookout for Clarity from Imaginit...we got a sneak peek of it at AU.. Its a Revit Server enhancement that does numerous things, including the ability to schedule any parameter from all categories in one schedule.
