    import cad to revit

    hi i m sorry on my bad english.
    i have a problem to import cad to revit.
    when i tried to render the matirial is grey.
    i success to render just if i get in to object style and delete the deafult layer of the material.
    but the problem that he render just one material in all the object.
    second experience i try to load cad to family but there i dont have materials a all
    please help

    Well, it sounds that you need to redo the cadfile. You can map materials to dwg layers in the Object Style menu, but the dwg will need to be set up correctly.
    And in the Family Editor you will not have materials, that's correct. For dwg's this can only be setup in the project (as far as I know)

        You need to setup the cad file in a manner that all elements that need a different color / material assigned are in a different layer when imported. There's no way around that.

            IMHO, if you want/need to play with materials, forget CAD and model it in Revit. Cad and Revit worlds are separates worlds. And that's good.
