RevitForum Down / Moving to London

As some of you probably noticed, RevitForum went down for a few hours on Wednesday, January 26th , caused by an error in the mySQL server at the current host. We´re truly sorry for the inconvenience!

It´s almost ironic, that this happened at the same time we are preparing to move RevitForum to another hosting company in London, England.

We´re moving to GlobalGold (GG), who is a hosting company specialized in hosting vBulletin forums. This is to ensure scalability and professional support in the future.
As of this moment, we do not have an exact date/time for when the migration will happen, but will make sure to make an announcement on the forum once we do. We do not expect any noticeable down time caused by the migration, and rest assured everyone - there´s plenty of backups :-)
The migration will be carried out by the professional vB supporters at GG.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully this will limit the lag some of us have been experiencing.

    Good job Munkholm.

OMG ! 16 HOURS OF DOWN TIME !!

      :hide:

The move to the new host will be done ASAP, everything besides changing the DNS is ready, and the GG team is on standby to take care of the migration... Will keep you all up to date in this thread !

I´M SO SORRY about all this.

BTW - It´s safe to use the forum (when it´s online)
I´m doing A LOT of backups, and GG will make the the forum unavailable for the short duration of the migration...

I think Tapatalk is not available any more.
No need to hurry. Good luck.

              Everyone !

The old host is about to change the DNS to GG !
Cross your fingers everyone - Hopefully there will be no down time during the migration, but if there is, rest asured that there will be NO DATA LOSS, and the forum WILL be back shortly.

Whew! Glad to hear that -- I've gotten tired of Revit forums disappearing

I thought it had to be some sort of cosmic joke! But glad to hear you've found a reliable home...
