    Another Parameter Topic

So I have been working a lot with title block families. Recently i've made a 30x42, 22x34 and am now working on a 8.5x11. The larger sheet files are pretty much the same, project based, stuff on the page, just different sizes.

    My issue is this:
Is there a way to have a instance parameter that will allow you to modify text on a per instance basis?

This will be used for a RFI/Addendum view title. I need several instance based text boxes on the sheet. (REF sheet, RFI #, Issue Date) They don't need any sort of intelligence in the text box.

I'm not sure but isn't this how the Drawn by: field works? I think if you look at the default title block and check how this is set up you should find your answer.

Perhaps I am missing something, but both your sheet name and sheet number are considered instance parameters...could you not just duplicate one of thoes and give it a new instance parameter?

Yesterday I came across the same post and I wanted to put it here but the server was down. So I couldn't. Gladly you came across this too because I might have forgotten about it

Generic Annontations would not work for a title block family. You would lose all your project parameters doing it this way.

Alex, to have instance based text field in your title block, I think you want to create a "Shared Parameter(s)" for your title block. It can be a little tricky, so let us know if you get stuck.

Also, I just want to make sure that you're incorporating the built-in title block "Revision Schedule" for automatic revision/addenda list in your title block. This will allow you to create revisions/addenda in your drawings and have them automatically fill out on your title block. Maybe you're already aware of this feature, but it wasn't clear to me from your question.
