    error message

Just downloaded revit architecture 2011 student edition. All went well with download, but when trying to open program I get: A software problem has caused Revit Architecture 2011 to close unexpectedly". I was told to download "RAC_x86_ur2.exe" Did this, but I still get the same message. I have windows xp 32bit with 4RAM. Any ideas out there? I have been working for 21 years, unemployed for 16 months, took a class to learn Revit, but without the program installed on my computer, I can't practice.
Appreciate any suggestions you might have.

Hi avalina, and welcome to the forum.

Have no real suggestions for you (none that you´d like to hear) But can confirm that you´ve downloaded the right installer for XP 32bit.
First, try to uninstall Revit, reboot, and reinstall Revit again.

If that don´t work... well, i just don´t know

Ouch... have you tried a "clean uninstall" ?

Where did you get the software? If you have an .edu email you can register on students.autodesk.com, their support is REALLY good and they are usually really quick on getting things fix like that through Autodesk and the really nice things is that you can DL most Autodesk products for free!

If you have tried to uninstal and reinstall multiple times seems like there is a programing error of some sort.

You may want to try and re-download the install file. It could be corrupt.

Try to download it again. Something may have glitched during the download.
