Have you tried turning on the floors to place the floor drain then shutting them back off?

Open the family, and set it to be Work Plane based. If I'm not mistaking you can place it on a level now.

Assuming it's a face based family. When you place it, select Place on face. If your floors are turned off, it will place it on the level. You can also try a work plane. I don't know what family you are using. If you have to, you can model a floor if it is a floor based family.

Floor Drain
Hey I need to put floor drains in this drawing, we had to turn of all floors, as again they only want plumbing. All the floor drain I am finding load or need a floor to locate, making it extremely hard to add to the exsiting pipe. Is there any easy way to do this or a way in general to hook the pipe up to the drain. Thanks for the help.Tags: None
