    Mullion continuous

    Hey guys, is there a way to keep all the horizontal mullion connected as one?
    I would like to have it as a single unit to determine the lenght of my 2x4 needed.
    I can create assembly but then it doesnt remove the mullion from the quantities..

    I know . PICK THE WALL LENGHT DAAAAA , this is not the goal, it is to get all the 2x4 automatically lol
    Otherwise I will put no border mullion and I will just substract 3" from entire length..

      As far as I know there is now way to do that other then adding stuff outside the Curtain Wall.
      Would be nice though.

        that works if you don't have anything interrupting horizontals, like a door. Simplified example: set your curtain wall horizontals to continuous, create and apply a parameter to each row of horizontals like grid#=1, grid#=2, etc, schedule your curtain wall horizontals and filter by grid#. Horizontals that are interrupted just get a different grid# value so they schedule separately. Then you can alter the curtain wall back to have verticals continuous if desired.
        I'm retired, if you don't like it, go around!

          I always look for Dave's responses ("Curtain Wall Dave", that is ....one of our RFO authorities on the subject).........but here is another possible solution to consider. Kludgy perhaps, but sounds like it would work? Use nested curtain walls. Set up the primary curtain wall as you would want the mulls to schedule, then use a nested CW without border mullions to divide up the interior panels as you see fit. That would eliminate the need to subtract out the 3" from the length, no?
