    How do I upgrade RAC 2011->2012?

    Hi all,

    First, apologies if this has been answered before - I did do a search!

    I have a subscription and currently have Revit 2011 installed. I want to add 2012 without uninstalling 2011 (I still have some ongoing projects in 2011). How do I do this? My rep does not have a lot of information and I don't want to accidentally uninstall 2011 or deactivate it.

    Your license should be good for 3 releases. If your on a license server you just need to make sure the 2012 licenses are added. Your Rep should know this. :/

      Just install 2012 and be carefull about opening your 2011 projects from now on.

        This is only true if you are on subscription. On subscription you can run older releases of the software if you wish. I think you can run back as many as you wish. Product Support only supports 3 releases.

        If you are NOT on subscription the license agrement states you have some kind of window (90 days?) for you to remove the previous versions of the software from your systems. The "upgrade" means you are not running the old version any longer.
