    Revit Drafter/Designer Job - Bend, Oregon

    PLEASE NOTE: This position is located in Bend, Oregon and is not available for remote work


    SUN FOREST CONSTRUCTION, Central Oregon’s most longstanding and diversified custom home builder and remodeling company well known for its integrity, quality and service is currently hiring for a full-time RESIDENTIAL REVIT DRAFTER/DESIGNER.


    Position Summary:

    This individual will assist the design department by preparing detailed drawings and plans of architectural and structural features for residential projects including new custom homes and existing homes for addition & remodel designs using REVIT. Interaction with clients in a sales capacity is also a key function of this job.


    Qualifications:
    • Proficiency with REVIT, 1-2 years of experience required
    • 2+ years of residential design & construction drawing experience
    • Prefer candidate with 5 years construction & building experience
    • Basic understanding of concepts as they pertain to residential building
    • Business degree or equivalent, with formal architectural education required
    • Valid Oregon Driver’s License & good driving record that meets insurance requirements

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

    · Must be computer literate with REVIT

    · Must have the skills and ability to interpret complex architectural plans, details and blueprints

    · Working knowledge of construction practices & understanding of building code compliance. Some hands-on construction experience helpful

    · Proven experience designing high end residential projects

    · Understanding of design principals and spatial relationships

    · Must be personable, articulate, well read, up to date on current events, with a polished and professional image, and able to represent the company well in a sales capacity, both verbally and in written communications

    · Must be well organized and an effective time manager, to ensure that all aspects of the project assigned are completed on schedule

    · Must have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to deal effectively & professionally with co-workers, clients, sub-contractors, vendors, and others involved with business operations

    · Must have high ethical standards & be able to uphold Sun Forest’s excellent reputation in the business community

    · Must have the physical ability to meet the demands of the position, which include standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and reaching.     Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    1. Forms a solid partnership with the sales team to engage clients in the design/build process and generate customer loyalty to SFC through confidence in the quality of our product, enthusiasm, charisma, communication skills, and design knowledge.

    2. Apply drafting and mechanical knowledge & techniques to prepare working drawings

    3. Apply field notes to detailed technical drawings

    4. Apply basic land surveying techniques in preparation of site plans

    5. Balance time appropriately between office and field duties

    6. Effectively & professionally communicate with all parties involved with the project on a regular basis, including keeping the Department Manager & Project Managers informed of any challenges or issues that may arise.

    7. Apply construction and design to analyze and prepare working drawings

    8. Exhibits good judgment, high ethical standards, and competent decision making skills at all times, and represents Sun Forest reputably with our clients, staff, suppliers, business associates, and in the community.


    Please note: This position is NOT AVAILABLE FOR REMOTE WORK. We are seeking candidates who are currently located in Central Oregon or actively in the process of relocating.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Salary: $25.00 - $35.00/hr (DOE) + Benefits Package
