Did you make this family from another one or you just started from scratch?
I've tried to delete some member from another family ajusting the geometry to yours, when changing their structural framing type, everything worked well.

Hi, this is actually created by my colleague.
He just modified the truss family so called "Howe Gabled Truss-6 Panel"

Could you please kindly advise the proper way to create / modify the truss.

You should probably take a look at the adaptive components (AC).
jbenoit44 created something interesting in this post.

Well, I can't find why it's not working... Should be as far as I can see. Your workaround is selecting the separate members (use tab key), and change the profile there. But I can't phantom that's the correct solution.
