    hello
    i made a discovery : a RVT or a RFA can be "opened" with 7-zip
    so these kind of file format are just a compressed file including datas...
    well my post is definetly useless but i wanted to share ma discovery with you!

    for what it's worth, they can also be opened in notepad, in case you ever need to check what version of Revit the file is in

      With new version of revit you can see it while trying to open it
      Never try to open with notepad, I'll try soon, thanks

        Actually an rvt file is a "MS OLE Structured Storage based file". It seems 7zip can read some parts of it.
