    symbols for tagging...

    hi
i discovered today that it's possible to add a symbol OR (may be and, don't know) a tag
in found this option in loaded tags...
so i was wandering how can it be used (i don't know yet how to use it)? have you any example of this kind of "annotation"?
    why do you use it?
try to find some help on internet but ...
    thanks

When you have multiple tags loaded into a project you can set the default for that category.

I've never set the symbol before.

I'm curious, how did you get to that dialog box?

Ah, I found it on the Annotate Tab under "Tags"

I actually have no idea what that Symbols Column is for. I would have guessed MEP? For things like Pipe Verticals? But i cant see a way to use it.

Some structural elements have documentation symbols in addition to tags (span arrows, etc.). For those elements, there will be a tag and a separate symbol family you can load. Other elements might utilize it too, but I haven't played around with it (or need to).

Gosh, even the great twice doesn't know the answer!
For pipe and duct there is a option for their representation... but I'm a dummie...
                  Really weird!

It can be used for rebar shapes.
