    Changing Tag Info

I'm trying to make the attached tag display the rectangular size of the attached diffuser. The diffuser is set up in a way that it displays the duct size (neck diameter) instead. I do not want to change the tag as it works for all of my other grilles. I want to change the diffuser family so that it will read out the correct size. How do I go about this?

    Thanks in advance!

If you're not worried about connecting duct to it, you can edit the family, change the connector from "round" to "rectangular" and set the "Diffuser Width" and "Diffuser Height" to whatever you want.

The tag picks up the "Size" parameter from the family. This parameter cannot be changed, as it is a System Parameter (built into Revit). It apparently picks up the connector size and converts it to a text value for the label.

I wouldn't recommend this, as it makes it very difficult to work with the family.

Annotation changes should be made in the tag. In this case, you can open the diffuser tag and save it to a new name, then change the "Size" label to a "Type Name" label. Then you can edit the family and change the Type Name from "Supply Diffuser" to "24 x 24" or whatever you want.
