    Door Hardware Descriptions in Door Schedule

    I am trying to find a way to have a list of door hardware functions as a pull-down from the door schedule. I want to use the ANSI Function Codes and Descriptions and I want them to be part of the door schedule (or door family) preloaded (don't want our people typing this in and making mistakes).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    A Key schedule will do that (schedule only, no tags).

    If you want to tag it, youll need custom parameters, and that gets a bit more complex.

      Can you tag Family Type parameters? Don’t know that I’ve ever tried but even if you can’t it’s another option that, in some ways, might be better — e.g. if the function is only for single doors or only for double doors you can ensure they don’t get mixed up by only loading those into your door family.

          I've had zero problems with using multi-line text in my nested hardware family. The schedules look nice, you only have to type stuff once and there are graphics to help people not do silly things.

            Yes, you can tag Shared FT parameters.

            I thought you wrote Family Parameters, which seemed odd because I know you know the answer to that already. LMAO
