    Attachments - Ping an Adminstrator

has the way that attachments are uploaded and viewed changed or do I have something screwed up? I posted a couple of attachments in Revit Architecture & General Questions forum today and they are thumbnails in my post rather than the old link style. If I've screwed up somehow I'd like to know what I've done and fix it...

There was one change today, due to some users inserting some very large images in actual size inside the post (like the Post&Beam thread of today); these huge images tend to grab all the space of the page, and cause delays, etc. So, according to Munkholm, the Image button was disabled. Therefore we suggest that we use the "Manage Attachment" button to select and add files to the message. IF you don't see the button, click on "Go Advanced".

      One question along these lines:
How do you delete old uploads from your upload manager home box? OR do they need to be there because the thread is still using them? I'd like to clean some of mine out.

It seems like once they are uploaded, they don't need to be in my home box anymore.

If the uploads are in use in a thread/post, you can´t delete them - The reason they are all on display, is that they can be reused (and save DB size) in a new thread/post by you in the future.

However, if you want to tidy up, go into the attachment manager, make a new folder, e.g. "archive", and move attachments into the folder to get them out of the way.

that's the way that I uploaded my attachments, with Manage Attachment. But they look different somehow. As long as no one is mad at me for screwing up, I'm good with it
