I'm sorry, but I've lost a thread... The one about an error message "start with a value or formula starting with '='." Is this forum too big already or did I take too much :whiskey: with my :coffee:?

Martijn,
do you remember anything else from the thread. I have seen situations where the wording that I was searching on had been edited by the poster. Such as an error message that one does not remember exactly, and after getting it a second time the post is updated to use the correct language. If you are searching on the original language your Google Fu will appear weak.I am hoping this is something like that.

I read a thread (very briefly) today about an error in Revit 2010. Had something to do with repeating error messages in Revit like in the OP.
Didn't really read it well, but got the same question this afternoon from a client. The question was:
"I have a project that seems to be corrupt. I can't do anything with it, I can't load any families or draw a wall for example. It keeps giving me an error "start with a value or formula starting with '=' ". It doesn't happen with other projects or when I start a blank project.
Sure hope it wasn't on The-Forum-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named... That would be completely off!Martijn de Riet

Martijn, I would find it utterly humorous if it was, and we answered it here, and you posted a link there, to our answer here. THAT would be an occasion for :whiskey:!

Hmmm, something old on the Forum That No One Uses Anymore.
Note sure it is the one you saw, and it doesn't look like anyone had an answer there a year ago either.Last edited by Gordon Price; January 13, 2011, 06:29 PM.

Well, that's a challenge: provide me with a solution and I will.
