    Prefab Roof Truss overhang issue

I'm very green to Revit, I'm hoping this is an easy issue to resolve. I am using a Howe Flat Truss family for my prefabricated roof truss. I've added an overhang parameter in the family. I set it to 3'-0", when I attach the top chord to the roof it removes the overhang. I'm a bit confused why Revit is removing the overhang after I attach it to the roof. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to Revitforum.

The issue is not quite clear. I see an overhang in the truss.

In the picture that you are showing, you haven't attached the truss to the roof yet. Once you attach the truss to the roof, the overhang is removed by Revit.

I see. In that case, maybe you could:

        1) Drag the width of the truss outwards to cover the overhang.
        2) Drag the end of the bottom chord inwards.
