    Virtual vs real

When I started my own business about 1,5 years ago I designed my office in Revit of course. Over time it got to where I wanted it to be. First removed all the old stuff, then got somebody to plaster the walls which I painted white after then, new flooring after that which I layed in myself, new closets above the desk for storage, got a friend who has a plumbing company put in a new radiator and finally a large wall sized closet made by my dad. This week the final bits were done on that. The drawers were placed and the border all the way around it to make it fit the room nicely were made. Now all I need to do is some finishing touches like adjusting the doors and drawers a bit and painting. Im very happy with it. Below the origional Revit design and the final (ish) result. I think it ended up pretty nice, don't you think?

Very nice, and it looks a lot better than my home-office.

Thanks, it helps if you have a dad who can build about anything you dream of in wood (and he is a bit cheaper too for me ).
Now all I need to do is go over the rest of my house and find stuff to put in that huge closet space I have now and in the process probably get rid of a lot of stuff I did not know I had. Spring cleaning in Autumn !

Funny you should say that, because I did make a model of my coffee pot a while ago (for the new design of my kitchen that should be build some day).
But it is in my kitchen downstairs, good way to do some exercise while getting some coffee

              Ugh...more shelves to dust.

Yeah open shelves is a lot of work and as long as I do not have a cleaning lady I want to keep the dusting to a minimum.
But that closet is not just for office stuff, it is the main storage in my house, so has some tools and clothes in it as well, and those do not look that nice on an open shelf.

This is one of my first projects as Architect using Revit, is an industrial "cellar" building a kind of big freezer for Cheese and other dairy products, the project was designed in 2012 and build the same year.

Not bad. They even built it close to how you designed it.

I think there's entirely too much Revit/CAD content in this Out There subforum. So we need to get back to the drivel for which it was intended.
