    Navisworks tolerance in clash detection tests

    Hello all,

    I have a difficulty to understand well the clash types and tolerance in Navisworks. So, I need some explanations..

    In the first image I run a Hard Type Test with 0.00 tolerance , so I expect to see all the ovelaps that have distance more than 0.00m (Is this thought correct?)
    I cannot understand how the distance -0.85 arise?

    In the second and third Image I run a Clearance Test with a Tolerance 0.13, so I expect to see all the elements that have maximum distance 0.13m (Is this thought correct?)


    I cannot understand what these negative distances mean (2nd image -0.38m)
    and again how the distance is calculated (image 3)

    A clash with distance -0.85 means there are two points from objects which have clashed or overlapped by 0.85m

      So the minus '-' does mean that there are more than two points that provocate the clash?

      What about the distance? I cannot understand why the distance is 0.85m as the thickness of the floor is 0.13m.
