    Family Wall Sweep Issues

I have a question about the wall sweep command in Revit family. A model of a house was made and the details of the exterior were developed to include two different material conditions: a metal siding and a wood screen element to the entry. Both of these elements were made in Revit family with the wall sweep command. The issue is once they were made and brought into the project, if one of the wall sweep families is edited, ie, the width of the wood is changed, it also changes the width of the metal siding from the other family, despite being made separately. Any idea why this is so? And what could be done differently so as to have independent control over these two elements?

Any insight is appreciated, thank you.

    There are several possibilities.
Uploading the families would help a lot.

      A possibility:
So, Wall Sweeps uses a loaded Profile: make sure to have 2 Type Families (or 2 separate Profile Families) (maybe call them by the material for example) in this Profile Family (make it "parametric" obviously to specify changing depths), then make sure you have 2 Wall Sweep types with their dedicated "Type Family" (or the 2 separate Profile Families).

      Best Option IMHO:
Create a wall type for each instance, then create a Stack Wall. If few varying heights more stack wall types, but if many variations maybe Wall sweeps for the least common.

God is in the details....getting lost in them or not seeing enough of them is another thing...
