3d Sketch up to Autocad 3d to Revit !!! HELPP!!!

My co-worker made a sketch-up 3d model of a reception desk that i am now trying to get into our Revit model. We are on Revit 2017 so i am told we can't directly import a Sketch-up 3d model into Revit, so i brought it first into Autocad, then made a Revit conceptual mass family and imported it from there. When i went to load it in my project it was automatically hidden and i got a weird message that read, "Mass contains only mesh geometry which can't be used to compute mass floors, volume, or surface area". i panicked and un-did, i don't want to mess up my local (and central) model. any ideas how to make a "NORMAL" revit family that won't have any extraneous sketch-up or autocad junk in it, so it can be a 'clean' import!? I have attached my frankenstein model here, any advice greatly appreciated !!!!
    HAPPY FRIDAY !!!

You should import the .skp or .dwg file into a new Revit Casework Family. Use it as framework to create your casework family with native Revit extrusions, voids, etc.
Once complete, delete the imported geometry, and load the family into your Project.
It is a common mistake to try to use the Conceptual Massing tools for items like casework and furniture. The CM tools are really meant for large/building scale overall form modeling.

        Glad to help.
Better yet, get your co-worker to learn Revit and model it correctly the 1st time!
