Renumber sheets while maintaining x.number suffixes?

I have over 100 sheets that I need to renumber, but several groups of sheets have a number with a x.1, x.2 suffix and so on. I'd like to renumber the sheets while maintaining those number suffixes. Is that possible with Dynamo or macros?

Could you give an example of 10 sheet numbers, old and new name, I'd like to give it a try

It would be really easy with Dynamo to export/import via excel.

        So I might have sheets:

        117
        118
        119.1
        119.2
        120.1
        120.2

and I need to stick a sheet in after 117, so all the sheet numbers after 117 need to increase by one, but the .1 and .2 needs to stay the same, so 119.1 becomes 120.1 and 120.2, and 120.1 becomes 121.1 and 121.2 and so on.

Have a look at pyrevit, it has a function to increment sheet numbers, no excel needed.

Oh well, I went ahead and just renumbered the sheets manually. 100 sheets only took about 5 minutes to renumber in a schedule, starting at the bottom and going up, increasing each sheet number by 2 so that I could add in 2 sheets.

This should do it, fun little exercise to quickly build. Only needs a single Clockwork and Rhythem node. Rest is OOTB. Dynamo 1.3.3, Revit 2018.3

If you want my Revit test file give me a shout, just a little to big for the upload limit.

ugh I need to learn how to do that. 15 year Revit veteran here, but I know zilch about Dynamo.

Less than an hour after you posed your question, you solved it by hand.

I love a good challenge, but next time: please let us know if you're really stuck, or you are just venting frustration......

say what? Come on I was in a time crunch and needed to get it done. But I'll look into this further for future renumbering needs.
