    Setting worksharing Update Frequency to manual in revit.ini

    To improve performance I'm looking to find out how to set worksharing update frequency to manual in the revit.ini files. As per usual documentation is scarce. I found an XL with some explanation of how the settings work but it only gives the option to set the interval in seconds. Does anyone know what value do I set to in revit.ini to put it on manual?

    Thanks

    With some further google action I found the following:

    "If you so choose, you can also make the change in your Revit.ini using the WorksharingUpdateFrequency line in the [Partitions] section. The values you can set go from 5 (every 5 seconds) to 61 (off). "

    I'll let you know if this works out...

        And that only affects Worksharing Display... which I almost never use? Interesting...

          It also affects when Revit checks for editing requests.

            We set the default to 30 seconds. Most of our projects have 5-10 concurrent users in the models. For project teams experiencing high latency, or the dreaded spinning doughnut, we use the highest setting to ease the chatter to the network drive.

              We just implemented a company wide tweak for the WorksharingDisplayFrequency value. You add the following to your revit.ini:

              [Partitions]
              WorksharingDisplayFrequency=61

              As per usual the Autodesk documentation is incomplete so I had google it from some amateur blog. The 61 value translates to manual updates only.
