Material Library fix w/o re-starting Revit?

When Revit gets into a state where .adsklib files will not display in the material editor, is there a fix besides restarting the application?

Any tips to avoid this state? I know to avoid multiple versions of Revit, but it's been happening to me even though I'm only working in v2019. I'm starting to think it's 2019 that's locking itself out of the files....

I've always the same problem Revit 2017 and 2018.3, for me restarting revit is the only solution, regards

Is it on autodesk's scope to fix this? Pretty annoying.

"no materials in this library" then if I try to locate it says "located file is already in use by another library"
I am getting this almost constantly both in office computer and home working one. I cannot cannot find a solution anywhere.

As you say I have to close down revit and restart it.
Come on Autodesk, this is a serious time consuming issue, please solve.
