I have a project with one material definition that is causing major issues. It's a material that exists in our company template, so I don't know why it's causing these problems. Anytime I try to alter the material, crash. Delete the material, crash. Change any family's material that's already using that material, crash. I even tried starting a new project, deleting all the materials out except for that one material, purging out all unused material assets, saving, and then doing Transfer Project Standards to try to overwrite the problem material in my current project. Still no joy.

What can I do to get this material out of here? I don't need it as I have other materials that take its place. But I still have the problem of trying to change materials in families that already have this one specified.
