how to change the standard schedule appearance ?

    Hello,

How can I change the standard schedule appearance so I don't have to change it every time I make a new schedule ?

    Thanks for your help !

    Two ways....
If you have a ton of different schedules, you can create a view template and then apply the view template to your schedule. (Though I can not seem to get "default view template" to work)
The second way is to make a base schedule and then duplicate it...granted if you have a column schedule and need a beam schedule, duplicating the column will not do much for you.

The easiest would to be just creating a view template. Note that view template will only work for the appearances of the schedule. If you want to have the same parameters in the same order every time, duplicating is the only way to achieve this.

      Thanks.

I hoped I could change it somewhere, so that I didn't have to make a template but this works also.

You can select multiple schedules at once....right click...apply view template....done!

I don't think it can be any easier than that...unless you already had everything setup in your template beforehand...but if you did you would already have the view template created too..

I appreciate that the original thread is quite old but I stumbled across it when I was having the problem recently. After much head scratching my solution is to create a view template but to leave the "New views are dependent on template" unchecked in the view type properties. This applies the settings in the same way as the standard "Apply template to current view" option. Hope this helps!

Welcome....yeah, things have improved 7 years later. Usually though we don't resurrect old threads with the updated information.
