    Consultant Shared Parameter Workflow

    Dumb question:
We are exchanging some shared parameters with some consultants for sheet index sorting (possibly a few others, not sure yet), and I'd prefer to add things to the project correctly, rather than kind of hacky. Is it better to add the new parameters to the SP file, then add them to the project, or just add them to the project using the Project Parameters dialog? I've done both in the past, I'm just not sure which method is the best way to go.

If you're trying to use the same definition then it ought to be defined in the Share Parameter file first to ensure you are working with the same definition.

Just use Insert from File and bring in their schedule. Then you dont have to worry about it at all.

        That's what we do.
Well, at least that's what we TELL our consultants to do...
