    PDF Printing issue

I have attached an image of what is happening when I am printing my duct work to PDF. I am wondering if anyone has come across this before and how to fix it.

the attached .png is difficult to see (plus I'm Structural) and I'm not sure what the issue is. Can you give more explanation about what is happening/what you expected to see?

I didn't realize the picture was so small. Here is a better image. There are a bunch of white lines through the duct work and this is the first time I've seen it do this when printing to a PDF. I will also upload one that is how it was printing before.

ah. okay. Looks like there is some info from elsewhere in the model that is interacting with the .pdf plot.
So, here are a few questions:
        1. which version of Revit are you using? Have you upgraded the model? (wondering if the previous plot came from an older version.)
        2. how are you creating the .pdf? Are you using a .pdf printer like Adobe, or CutePDF, or Bluebeam?

          1. I am using R 16 nothing has been upgraded from a previous version. I was printing from the same view last time I used this project a few weeks ago. I was just making some annotation updates to two sheet.

          2. I am using Bluebeam. The only change on my system that I can think of it I just had a windows update yesterday but I have no idea what was actually updated with that.

I did check with my newer projects that are in R17 and it printed to Bluebeam PDF just fine.

It would appear that you are now printing structural elements in addition to the arch and HVAC. Is this a new linked model or have you modified your view to include those elements/link?

The one that is right is first floor under a hollow core floor. The bad one is second floor and there are no new links as I did the building myself from the generic Revit parts.

To isolate the problem, I would try turning off all structural elements and re-plot.

I just tried and it didn't change anything.

Per Leanne's suggestion, I would also look to see if the cut planes are encompassing a roof or floor. I typically turn roofs and floors off in my mechanical views. But, I also only plot in hidden line visual style.
