    Dimensions

    Greetings
I have placed some timber walls with cladding. When I click the wall it shows the temp dimension to the cladding, yet the location lines are set to the core face. I would like the dimension to be to the core faces. Can I change that in my settings somewhere?
    Regards

In the temp dimensions you can drag the grab point 1/2 way down the witness line to the face you want to show temporary dimensions to.

Or just double pick on the Little temp dim Dot in it's extension Line. That will juggle the justification from core, to face....

Thanks both for the reply. Being a Chief Architect user and switching over to Revit does not come without trials.
In Chief I click on any wall and it will give me core to core dimensions.
It will just be getting used to different ways.

All these programs are just tools, they all do whatever job you need. I suppose you just need to work out the pros and cons of each software and how it does the job for you.

The default for that is set in your Template.
