Do I need to upgrade to 2017 before going to 2018 or can I upgrade models from 2016 directly to 2018 without issues?

I believe it's "recommended" to go one step at a time when upgrading, but I've done many, many projects directly from 16 to 18.
If possible, clean up as many of the Warnings a you can (which is good practice regardless)
Make sure you check the "Audit" box when doing the upgrade.Dave Plumb
