Non adjustable/ selecting ceiling grid

Hi! Right now I've two types of ceiling are available in Revit i.e 2'x2' & 2'x4' ACT systems. When I'm using 2'x2' ACT system I've lines that I can select in grid, so I can use that for aligning the light fixtures & other fixtures.
But in 2'x4' ACT system I end up with drafted kind of cross hatch which cannot be selected hence it can't be used for aligning or anything else. What could be problem here?

Your 2x4 doesn't look like a 2x4 ceiling. Edit the properties and look at what material is defined and its pattern...bet it's a drafting pattern.

Ceiling Grid - Noob question

When I use the 2x4 ACT I can see the grid.

When I switch it to 2 x 2 ACT there is no grid showing.
