Can You Still Convert In-place Family to Family in Revit 2017 & 2018 ?

I've been trying to convert an in-place family to a family in Revit 2017 & 2018 without any success [as shown in the video below]:

I haven't used this feature for a long time, has this functionality been discontinued in 2017 and 2018 ? Or is it still there but I'm doing something wrong ?

[FYI I'm trying to do this with an in-place Mass, however it doesn't work for a generic model either].

    Thank you in advance.

Dunno about masses but it still works for regular family categories in 2018. Group elements inside edit in place and save group, itll save as an .rfa. I did it a couple weeks ago out of curiosity. Such a dodgy thing to do though, can i ask what you are trying to achieve with this?

Thanks Elton, I'll go back to it and see what I'm doing wrong.

FYI, I accidentally, in a hurry, made a complicated mass object as an in-place family to assign 'curtain systems by face' to. Now need to tweak the mass and realise that it would have been a bit more fun to have made it as an editable family, etc., etc.
