Revit 2018.3.1 update generating Dynamo & BIM360 Design errors

I don't know what's going on - and i am about to rip my hair out.
Our IT Staff updated our firm's PC Image, uninstalling Revit 2015 and installing Revit 2018 (including the 2018.3.1 hotfix/update), as well as modifying the Revit 2017 install to include the 2017.2.3 update.

However when they run the image, They are getting a pair of pop-up errors related to an older version of dynamo (see attached).

I have tried installing Dynamo 1.3.2 prior to running the Revit install - since that is the version that is included in the Revit 2018.3.1 Hotfix - hoping that , if the proper version of dynamo were already installed, it would skip the dynamo related updates within the hotfix....
    No Dice.
I got the same error messages during the subsequent Revit Install.

I then deleted all traces of all versions of Dynamo and 2018 versions of Autodesk products from a test machine (including all registry data, and program cache). As far as the test computer was concerned - it was a clean slate with regard to Dynamo and Autodesk 2018 products.
    No Dice.
I got the same pop-up error messages during the subsequent Revit 2018 install - during the Hotfix install.

BIGGER ISSUE - this isn't just about Dynamo - whatever is going on, is causing the installed versions of Revit, to not be able to utilize BIM360 Design (formerly, "Collaboration for Revit"). The Collaborate button is missing from the Collaborate Tab, and there is no BIM360 "place" listed along the left side of the OPEN dialogue window (and yes - i was logged in to Autodesk with my ID, and i have permissions for BIM360 Design).

I am at a complete loss - I am not sure what exactly went wrong, or how to make it right.... People who's PC's are based on an older image are not having this problem. Revit 2018 + 2018.3.1 install without a blip.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

When you say you deleted ALL registry data, do you have a list of keys you deleted? Because there are WAY more keys than a lot of folks realize.

You can "unbundle" the updates so they dont include the Dynamo installer, and then manage Dynamo manually. To do that, run the installers on a sacrificial machine, and pull out the MSI's from the temp folder while the installer is running. Then use the MSI's instead of the bundled disaster that you downloaded.

I used Advanced Uninstaller Pro - and yeah - i was shocked by just how many registry keys it found associated with Dynamo. I should have recorded a list.. but i didn't

i am intrigued by your solution - and i may give it a try to help resolve the problem for the users being impacted by this - but it doesn't sound like a viable option for getting our company's image back to something that can be automated. Do you know if the Revit updates install in C:\Temp or C:\Windows\Temp ?

You really should get a list. Im betting it didnt get them all.

it can be automated. I dont do it manually on all of our machines. (See www.PragmaticPraxis.com for more information). Now, if *automated* means "The IT people can just click Autodesk installers randomly and not worry about what its doing," there isnt a solution in the world thats going to allow that, now that Dynamo and BIM360Team are around. You (they) need to be very meticulous, and be testing updates in a protected virtual environment. If they HAVE an image they use, im guessing they have snapshots of it. Have them roll it back to before the update, and then start methodically testing what they are doing.
